Techs,
Can anyone reccomend a part...
I have a guitar with two humbuckers, and a 3-way switch (neck - neck/bridge - bridge).
I would like to replace the 3-way with a "Blend" knob, so that I can have any balance of the two pickups that I want.
Is there a "best known method" to do this, and/or a known part# that I can easily replace the switch with?
Also...
The tone knob on this guitar doesn't have any effect on tone untill it reachs about 75% roll-off, then there is a drastic change from treble to bass.
I don't know the cap value in there right now, but is there a known value that would smooth this transition from treble to bass?
I like to run amps with pretty high treble settings so that I have very clear low notes (wound strings), then roll off the highs on the guitar as I get into the higher frets on the unwound strings.
Thanks in advance for any thoughts.

Pete,If you rewire your volume pots so that the wiper, or middle lug of the pot, is the wire from the pickup, then you'll be able to leave your switch in the middle position and blend your pickups as you wish. You'll need to reverse the wires, input and output on each volume pot. |

Jerry, This guitar has only 1 volume pot, and one tone pot.
I'll have to look in there tonight and check it out.
Thanks for the idea.
