This amp was near death when I got it.
It had been on fire and was worthless

But, you know me, I just it was
a diamond in the rough.
I had it "Blackfaced" with with new
transformers, caps, tubes...etc
and a new "aged" cabinet.

Mission accomplished.

Jim

It was a '69 Bandmaster Reverb.
I had to replace all the transformers
so my tech did a great job on the
conversion, its sounds realy great
and best of all it looks like
its 42 years old. I make a lot of
nice new cabs but with this one
I wanted to age the cab.

I think you should send it to me so I can test it and then I will report back to you on the test results.I should only need it for about a year Smile

I promise to give an impartial unbiased report.

Rick,

looks nice. Im curious to know how "deep" you are into it $$$$$....

I restore quite a bit of amps, and now have moved on to building my own.

Yesterday www.tedweber.com had a scratch and dent sale where i bought a 5F1 champ chassis and a 5E7 bandmaster chassis for a whopping $19. There was literally nothign functionally wrong with them!So looks like I will be building a tweed champ and bandmaster!
