I bought a Peavey effects unit from a forum member { no problem good deal good service } the walwart says it runs off 120v 60hz and produces 16v at 1100 mA . My power supply is 240v 50hz . Any suggestions ? I have not plugged it in to try . Do I have to try and sell it back to someone in USA ?

Futher to my question , I have located a unit that will output 16v DC at 1.25 amps . My Peavey Delta Stomp calls for 16v at 1. amp . Do you think this is close enough ?

Brendon that should work just fine ...the 230V - 16V walwarts are hard to come by in this neck of the woods - it should work with your peavey unit without any issues.

If it's DC you are working with make sure you connect +ve from the power supply to +ve on the stomp box. Sometimes the output plugs on power supplies can be reversed.

Hope I didn't confuse you. The centre is normally +ve however there are some instances where it is the other way around. If the power supply you are using is designed for your stomp box you won't have a problem. If you have any doubt I suggest you get someone to measure the voltage from the power supply to determine its polarity.
