This guitar is as new as you can get. Made in 1973, it has low hours. I can not find a thing wrong! Popular Rosewood mica is flawless. Molded case had a few light
scratches.A great buy for a classic sturdy full size
(heavy) guitar.$2100.00 1/2 shipping CONUS. For extra pics or details e-mail me

That is a nice guitar they stay in tune quite well, but $3,550 is pretty expensive for me. |

Still ridiculously overpriced. Greed-driven pricing is getting out of hand. |

I doubt you'll get any bites on the Forum at that price. I always thought of them in the 1800-2000 range, unless this has a platinum keyhead w/14K tuners. -Jim |

There seems to be a consensus that this guitar is over-priced, so I'm going to show this to the owner and see what he'll do.
I don't know what a new MSA cost, I'll guess about$6000.00, but it is lighter.
Is a new LeGrande D-10 less than this than $3500.00??
Anyway, I'll see what he'll do this weekend and let it be known.
Thanks for the input.

This is not nearly the guitar the new MSA's are. The new one's have many more features. _________________ Darvin Willhoite
MSA Millennium, Legend, and Studio Pro, Reese's restored Universal Direction guitar, a restored MSA Classic SS, several amps, new and old, and a Kemper Powerhead that I am really liking. Also a Zum D10, a Mullen RP, and a restored Rose S10, named the "Blue Bird". Also, I have acquired and restored the plexiglass D10 MSA Classic that was built as a demo in the early '70s. I also have a '74 lacquer P/P, with wood necks, and a showroom condition Sho-Bud Super Pro. |

Jim, I must agree with the others (though I wish I were wrong). I have an MSA D12 (please see below), not quite as mint as yours but pretty darn close and it has a 5th knee lever. While the MSA Classics are precision built, play well, and will last forever, many view them (esp. the mica covered ones) as too heavy and perhaps somewhat lacking in tone. It's just a fact that they don't bring as much as vintage Emmons Sho Buds, etc. I doubt that mine would bring more than $1,500 at best here on the forum, maybe a bit more on ebay but I doubt it. The later maple body MSAs bring more but even those don't bring that much. I don't think the one on ebay will bring $2,100 (but hey, you never know. Sometimes a guitar just catches someone's fancy or a bidding war gets going). Wish the feedback you got was more what you were hoping for.
Regards
Harvey

Jim I agree with the others, I had one like yours with the polished pedal board and knee levers it was plywood covered with formica, nothing wrong with plywood it carries sound well but it still had sound issues, I bought the guitar around $1,500, sold it for $1,050.00 10 years later, but yours could go for $1,850.00, good luck. |
