Hey Everyone,

It's getting close to the time when the Louisville Metro Steel Guitar Club hosts the annual Hall of Fame Show, so start making your plans now.

This is always a great time for area steel guitar enthusiasts to get together and enjoy some classic steel guitar music, eat some food, and enjoy each other's company. And you're welcome to buy some merchandise too (Scotty usually brings a big spread of CDs and steel guitar accessories as well as individual players).

Once again, the festivities will be held at the Aahmed Grotto in Fairdale, KY.

When: October 14th, 1pm til about 5 or 6pm

Featured Steelers: Don Helms, Ron Elliot, Billy Robinson, Scotty, Wayne Hobbs, Chubby Howard, Lynn Owsley, Sharon Denny, and Don Curtis.

We had a great show last year and we look forward to seeing all our friends out there again this year.

The cost is a modest $10 and that will help towards the Hall of Fame.

If you have any questions, let me know.

It's a long drive, but I wouldn't miss this.
Being from Fairdale, and now living in Florida.
And with that line up, It's well worth the drive.
I'll be picking up Don and Hazel on the way.

This really will be a old home weekend.

Danny and Patricia

Hey Ray, sorry you can't make it...I guess Arizona is quite a ways away! You are right about Wayne Hobbs. He is a really good player and a true gentleman. He gets a great sound with his D10 Derby and his little one-man band set up. Thanks for the bump!

Hey, this show was a blast! We had a record turnout and everyone sounded great. Thanks to everyone, especially club president Bob Callaway who put in a lot of hours to make the show possible, Chet and Judy Brummett for the PA and the fine drumming, Dee Craig and his wife for moving all those tables and chairs and the videography, and Ralph for taking care of the door. There are lots of other folks to thank including Scotty and Mary DeWitt and Don Curtis for driving all the way from St. Louis, and Ed Fulawka and his crew all the way from Canada (!).

We look forward to getting together again next year!!!
