I have a Nashville 400 and I love the sound. But I also love the sound of my JBL D140. Can I put this in another cabinet, set it up as a monitor in front of me, and not create serious impedance problems for the amp? Suggestions? Part of the reason for this is to have more sound coming up at me so that I play a bit lower. (We don't always mike the amps.)

It is a problem. That is the reason there is no aux speaker jack on the amp. It is rated into a four ohm load. Adding an 8 ohm would drop it to 2.66 ohms, too low for the power amp.

A nice way to do it would be to add a small Stewart amp , use the preamp out to feed it and use your extension cabinet off the Stewart amp.

As the signal from the N-400 is unbalanced you will get ground loop hum. Use a Hum-X on the power cord of either of the amps to solve that noise problem

A last solution is to load the N-400 with an 8 ohm speaker. Now you could add the 8 ohm extension and have a 4 ohm load.
