Hey Mike, a Funeral Parlor shut down where I live and some equipment was auctioned off. I picked up an older Peavey powered mixer that I was wondering if you could tell approximately how old it was. It's an XR-700 seven channel powered mixer. It's the one that lays flat and pretty good sized with the wooden sides on it. It has two amps and drives the mains and monitors with their own amps. I only paid $150 for it with two Peavey columns which are the vertical type with two speakers in them and three little tweeters across the top. It really wasn't used much and is in excellent condition......Thanks in advance...JH in Va.

We first introduced the XR700 back in 1980 along with the XR800 and XR1200. Those mixers were built like tanks and you still see them in operation even today. In 1980, the retail price of the XR700 was $679.50. You did good.
