I was at Larry's Antique Mall and restaurant in groves texas sat nite, sept 8 and heard a wonderful cajun band..was curious if anyone on SGF knew the steel player and how he can be contacted. I live near the area and wanted to make contact..........respond here or send a PM...

well if it was Jackie Callier and the Cajun Cousins, it was Danny Cormier from Lake Charles, LA. They frequently play there. I have met him there before. A super nice guy! If the steel player was awesome and a "calorically challenged" guy with glasses then it was Danny Cormier. I've Known the guy all of my life and he is indeed a great guy and a very close friend. He can be reached at his business during the day at (337)478-2576. |

lived in kirbyville for past 32 years...recently moved to beaumont......get closer to work and stuff...looking for some dobro, steel, guitar...need some folks to jam with.....any help appreciated..
spent some time in sabine pass....fishing and also as a visiting coach...playing the "sharks".....
eating at the old Sartains.....some good seafood..

that was him...."dont know about calorically challenged....I weigh 300+...maybe he could teach me some steel......I play dobro...some...guitar a lot..
will try to contact him next time down
the band was jackie caillier...bass player is Ivy from vinton.(my mom's hometown)..
