|
|
Texas is such a large state that most who live here have given it sections such a East, West. North and South. Someone living in Odessa is from West Texas and someone living in Longview is from East Texas. I guess it has always been that way. East Texas Steel Guitar Association located in Tyler (EAST) Texas is called such because not only of it's geographical location in the state, but because there are other associations in Texas. Texas Steel Guitar Association in Dallas, Central Texas Steel Guitar Association in Waco, South Texas Steel Guitar Association in Houston. There may be others. Sort of like North Tennessee Steel Guitar Association.
Most people living in Texas are proud to be called "TEXANS", but most do refer to the sections when stating where they live----such as, I live in Princeton, Texas, which is in North Central Texas.
Hope this helps. Confusing as it may be, that's that way it is (GENERALLY) _________________ Charles Tilley ,

There's a South Texas Steel Guitar Association in Houston? I have to drive 6 hours north-east to get to Houston! _________________ Lee, from South Texas - Down On The Rio Grande
There are only two options as I see it.
Either I'm right, or there is a sinister conspiracy to conceal the fact that I'm right.
