I was in Nashville several times during the early 90's and I always made it a point to get out to the "Palace" to hear Mike play. Always picked great. Jody.

Mike Sweeney is one of my favorite steel players. He is equally at home on either necks. When people hear him play that were not familiar with him, they always are amazed at his playing. Mike Sweeney should be a regular at the shows...

Mike is a great talent. I truly enjoyed his set at the ISGC in St. Louis. His selection of tunes was wonderful. The staff band had a great time working with him. I must also say the he is one of the nicest guys you will ever meet. I am proud to call him my friend. Bobby

Bobby,

It was a true joy as always to get to play with you and the rest of the guys in the staff band saturday afternoon. And it's an honor to call you my friend too. God bless you.

Another great CD by Mike Sweeney! I agree with everyone about Mike being underrated and Scotty should have him back next year! Personally, I feel very fortunate that I attended one of Mike's one-on-one Boot Camp. I highly recommend it for beginners, intermediates or advanced student/players. The classes are interesting, and Mike has the unique ability to teach at ones learning level. I arrived at Mike and Teresa home just a name on an email, but because of their love for people, I left feeling I had made friends for life. I plan to return to their home in the spring for phase 2.

Mike is one of the few players that you can listen to for an extended period, uninterrupted, and not grow tired- I mean many hours. His playing is varied and never gets boring. I have all his CDs on my I- POD and have driven several hundred miles at the time listening to them. He was a standout at the 2007 ISGC.

Mike H., It was my pleasure and it was great to see you and Ben again. I'm glad you two got reunited with your old air force buddy Bryan Adams. Reunions like that are always fun.

Clyde, Thanks for all the kind words. I want everyone to know that you're one of my favorite players too. Hope to see you again soon.

Mike
