I just went to youtube to listen to Buzz Evans play "Somewhere Over The Rainbow", and I got a message saying it was removed due to terms of use violations!
Whats up with that? _________________ Bill

I doubt if you can legally hum "Somewhere Over The Rainbow" in a public place.
Eventually everything that isn't public domain, or the property of the poster, will be gone from YouTube.
Enjoy it while you can. Save what you want.
I recall giving this advice about the Record Lady site a few years ago. |

Still, some mystery remains
1) Was it pulled do to song copyright?
2) Was it an issue not with this video but another video on the same account? I think if you make one mistake your entire account gets zapped.
3) Who knows... |

I'd guess the owners of the song didn't complain, because if you search YouTube for "Somewhere Over The Rainbow" you'll find a lot more of them.
(Tommy Emmaual's guitar solo is awesome!) |

I suppose sleepycreek went the same way with all those beautiful Curly Chalker videos. Anybody know for sure? |

Just got back from the ISGC. Buzz played "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" for the crowd Saturday evening from the main stage to rave reviews. He did mention to the audience that his soundman placed that particular youtube video on the web, and he said the cut is on one of his albums. (I suspect he must know that the video is gone, but I can only guess he is too much a class act to complain in public about youtube, hey it was good while it lasted).
FYI, the album is available at Scotty's

The usrid that orginally posted it was 'russhulme', and when I did a search on that userid, it said the user account was suspended. I thnk you hit the nail on the head. What a shame. _________________ Bill

Hello William,
I see you play through a Carvin SX-200C amp. Do you play out in public or only at home?
Quite awhile ago someone posted that they were very pleased with the Carvin SX-100 amp.

I just play at home.... health does not permit me carrying heavy things around. The Carvin is ok, but I would prefer a real steel amp. _________________ Bill
