I'm playing 2 gigs this weekend with traditional country singer/songwriter Thad Cockrell. This guy writes heartfelt songs and sings with a voice pure and clear with impecable intonation. A very entertaining and sincere performer...the genuine item.

Friday Feb 25 at the Hideaway on Hillsborough St. Across from the NC State University campus. Music at 10:30. Duo gig with Thad on voice and acoustic guitar and your truly on pedal steel.

Saturday Feb 26 at Humble Pie, 317 S. Harrison St. in downtown Raleigh. Music at 11 pm. Trio gig with Thad on voice/acoustic guitar, yours truly on pedal steel, and multi-instrumentalist Jon Kemppainen on fiddle and electric guitar (Jon K. plays fiddle for the Two Dollar Pistols, the fast-rising honky tonkers from Chapel Hill).
