Herbie,
I hope this message finds you doing well...
I just became a member of the forum and came across a post you sent in years ago.
If you are still active on the forum...I am Bob Garey's son.
Although I lost touch with him when I was three years old, I am trying to locate people who once knew him especially musicians who played music with him.
I hear stories from family and a few of his friends. Do you have anything you can share with me. I know it's a long shot but if you have any recordings of Bob Garey I would love to hear them.
He passed away when I was 11 years old around 1969.
My family tells me that he had a double neck pedal steel but no one could locate his possessions.
I will be purchasing my first steel guitar soon as I plan on taking up the instrument. 6 string guitar is my first instrument.
You can hear some of my music at: myspace.com/butchgareymusic and celebrityrecording.com
Hope to hear from you soon.
Butch Garey
