| i did this a long time a go but i'm having a brain fart now i guess and cain't remember how to do it, but my Mullen has too much slack in the vertical knee lever and i cain't remember how to adjust it out can any one help? thanks in advance for any help... |

Step 1- Make sure nylon tuning nuts are not touching the changer lever with nothing engaged.
Step 2- Tune Open String
Step 3- Hit open string and while sustaining turn tuning nut in until it just changes the string.
Step 4- Back tuning nut off 1-2 turns, this is the amount of slop.
Step 5- Adjust the knee lever travel, by loosing the nut on the screw on that stop, then you will adjust it for the farthest traveling string on that knee lever. In other words, hit your string, engage the knee lever and use the screw underneath for that lever to adjust where it stops, which would be at your desired note.
Step 6- Lock down the nut on the stop screw and fine tune it with your nylon tuner. It should be just right.
Remember with any Mullen guitar, you always want to have just a little slack between the tuning nut and the changer lever. A good way to test this is, when the guitar is upside down grab a bellcrank for any cross rod and you should be able to move it towards and away from the changer just a little bit. If there is no slack then, you are probably resting on the tuning nut and not the changer stop and you will develop all sorts of tuning issues. This applies to any knee lever or pedal on a Mullen Guitar.
