A friend is asking me about a Regal White Lightning resophonic guitar. The only "White Lightning" Regal I see on Google is related to a Buick!!!!!
Can anybody please comment on a reso with that name?

If I'm not mistaken the Black Lightning has already been upgraded with a quarterman cone and etc. |

Yes, the Black Lightning has the Q cone, bone nut, etc. and is a daggone good feeling and sounding axe. I let 2 of them get away from me @ $349 and $399. Just couldn't come up with the cash at the time.
In retrospect, I shoulda floated a loan since they are now in the hi 5's.
The ones I played felt really good to me and sounded at least as good and probably better than the dobro 60DS I had upgraded with a Q cone, bone nut, ebony bridge etc.
I think Tommy White plays one of these also and speaks well of the RD52. |

Thanks Alan. My buddy in Nova Scotia was looking at one at his local dealer, and was asking me (since I play Dobro as well as lapsteel) if I could comment on it. What started all this is that he called it a Regal White Lightning, and when I went to Google to research it, I could find only references to Buicks....because it was a Black Lightning, not White. I think he's going to get the unit locally.
Thanks to all.
George (in peach picking country) and let me tell that Niagara peaches this year are the tastiest ever simply because of the hot weather we've had!!! |
