I guess everyone sees the same stuff on ebay, so forgive me if you're already aware of this stuff, but there's been some real nice old acoustic hawaiians on ebay lately...
This is a bit odd to say the least:
Knutsen
If that 30.75"( ) scale-length is right this thing must sound like a piano!!
I'd sure like to hear it!
Also what's with the skewed peghead & 2-colour top?
Totally bizarre fretboard dot layout too.
It'll be interesting to see how much this goes for...
Also there's that "Cathedral" Kona/Regal, is it me or is that just beautiful? |

You haven't seen many Knutsens, have you?
I have to admit though, this is one of the more bizarre creations of his..
The Kona/Regal is really nice, but personally I would never pay that much for it (not that I can afford it anyway....).

No, I've never seen a Knutsen "in the flesh", only on the Knutsen Archives website & in that Noe & Most book.
Regarding hollowneck "Weissenborn-Style" guitars in general, you hardly see them at all here in the UK, the only 2 I've ever seen here are the 2 I own!
BTW, Greg @ Knutsen-Archives informs me that the quoted scale length is (obviously!) an error
Imagine what that would've sounded like! |
