I never liked this song, but the steel playing is just fine.

Well, I always liked that song. In fact, that album is one of my favorites mainly because I listened to it the whole summer it came out (at a very impressionable age, I might add). The video tribute was very nice. It contains some interesting albeit highly edited footage of Jerry actually behind the steel. Thanks. |

Very nice. This makes the second song I've heard with Jerry's pedal steel playing, and I like it a lot. Everyone knows what the other song is (I've always liked that one a lot too).

That is quintessential ZB Steel guitar tone. One of the best (if not THE best) recording steel guitars ever made. You cannot get that sound from any other brand of steel. Garcia knew this when he heard Tom Brumley in The Buckaroos. |
