Ok, ok, ok, I realize I've been hogging the bandwidth as of late, sorry, sorry, sorry.
One more thing and then I'll shut up for a while.
I'm very much honored that I've been chosen to be a staff member/instructor at the Augusta Heritage Festival in July of 2007. The Augusta festival is held during the summer months at Davis & Elkins College in Elkins, West Virginia. The program is best known for it's intensive week-long workshops that attract more than 2,000 participants annually. Instruction in Irish, Bluegrass, Swing, Cajun/Creole and Blues is offered by some of the world's greatest musicians.
I will be teaching swing/fingerstyle ukulele, beginning/intermediate Hawaiian & Western Swing non-pedal steel guitar and most likely some flavor of Swing Guitar, all during 'Swing Week' July 15-20, 2007.
This position has been held in the past by such greats as Bobby Ingano, Joel Eckhaus, Lyle Ritz and Pops Bayliss... some big shoes to fill!
I'm excited about this opportunity.

I have often heard of this festival since we always stay in Elkins when we ski at Snoeshoe Mountain Resort. This is a big event in this part of the country. Congratulations. It sounds like a good time. [This message was edited by John D. Carter on 13 November 2006 at 10:51 AM.] |
