www.arkivatropika.com/cgi-bin/tags.cgi?tags="bar%20photo"

Scroll half way down the page and you'll see it, if you squint, or use your magnifying bar glass!
Along the way you'll view lot's of old style tropicana ephemera.

Have you hugged your Leeteg today?

Wow ! Great stuff Ron. I think I spotted Hilo Hattie seated (exreme right) in that Tapa Room pic...sure looks like her! And that tall skinny guy in middle of the Fijian group...is that really YOU ? Very Happy Too bad those old pics are so small...real nostalgia.

Thanks for that! My Dad was a waiter at the Hollywood Don the Beachcomber, and I have many fond memories of that place and hanging out there. I can still smell the Crab Puffs!

Yeah, Bob, it was the drums that really made the pic for me.

Keoki, you must be smoking some good tundra! I don't see anything like Hilo Hattie in the shot.
But thot you in particular would dig those pics.

I'd certainly never seen this one before, and guess it's from early on in Apaka's solo/showroom career, as Pappy is usually seen with a kit, and Sonny Kamahele is not yet in the group. Plus, the place ain't packed. But it's most likely a staged photo.

We must be looking at different pix.

Send me some tundra, maybe then I'll see plenty of Hatties!
