One of our Steel Guitar Association members has a Premiervox Steel Guitar for sale. This is the one where the amplifier is built into the carrying case,is in immaculate condition both guitar and case. Has anyone any idea of the value of this collector's item, especially down in this part of the world? Any help would be appreciated.

If this is the export version of the Rickenbacker Model BD lap steel, it could be worth anywhere from $500 to $1500 USD depending on its condition. I'd have to see pictures of it to be able to assign a proper value.
I can say that I have only rarely seen the name Premiervox and have never actually seen or played one myself. A quick search of the internet shows sellers offering the Spanish neck version for $3,000 USD.

I Wonder if they have the stand that was built for it , to give the player's back a break.
More of a wall hanger than anything else, especially if the bakelite frets were worn.
