Curious if anyone is using these for pedal steel, or if anyone has any opinions on how steel sounds through the "Custom voiced 15” Eminence" speaker that it ships with. I play a lot of c6 ...

Back when I was primarily a non-pedal c-6th player I was in a similar boat as you, so I will tell you some of what I learned on that journey. First,in my opinion, 3 pedals and 4 levers is not enough ...

This sounds like a really great practice tool! Can you lay down the chords for it to learn using the pedal steel (either with volume pedal all the way up or no vp in the chain), or do you find that ...

I have owned a Gold Tone 8-string and agree that that bridge is a pain for changing strings. I don't know if you've tried this already, but removing the decorative cover / "palm rest" helps ...

Thanks for explaining that; makes sense when you think of it like a sixth tuning. All of this is making me think I need to take a big step back and think this through a little more, especially now tha ...

My recommendation would be to set it up with pedals/levers pretty much identically to his D10.
Fwiw, I played a Uni last week with E-lowers on LKR.
It did not seem like an issue at all to hold over ...
