geeeez I paid 80Eur for mine (exact same model, but with dot fret markers).
225Eur is WAYYY to much for that steel...
It's just a funky instrument... kinda unique... but not GREAT!

I would worry about the 5U4 rectifier tube. This guy yields a significant higher B+ voltage, and draws more current out of the power transformer than the regular stock 5Y3.

This guitar is definitely not a 55' model.
The black tolex case make it at least a 1964, and so does the front logo.

BTW Rick, are these easy to play? ie I suppose it is impossible to palm mute the strings due to the string thru pickup design. Is it a problem, can you live with it?
