The slide symbol precedes the 0. This would imply a slide "up to" the open string. I found this on a Bob Brozeman tab transcribed by John Roberts. So I mystified as to what
/0 means.

I'm playing delta blues on an acoustic lap steel. I understand the symbol for sliding up to a note but I see it occasionally before "0". What does this indicate?

I started with plastic finger picks and could never get used to metal. I guess a benefit is the strings last a little longer....the 3rd included.
