I met Leo LeBlanc at the Opry back in the 80s...

He told me he played with George Jones for a short time in the 60s after Hal Rugg...he got the gig because Weldon Myrick couldn't fit into the band ...

As for getting a good steel DI sound from the Colour Box, how many greats recorded DI? I know Sneaky Pete did often but aside from him I can't think of anyone else.

Dennis-I have a Sho~Bud single channel amp with a "preamp out"jack on it-Straight Ahead sounds great and is a great power amp for whatever you wanna plug into it!
