Well, well, well...I must admit that I've only read about 70% of this string, but it seems to me that nobody has thought to quote Bocephus in the old "Family Tradition"

Which Riley Puckett do you have? Are you still selling it...because I would be very interested.

A good luthier will probably fill the crack with glue and file/stain it to match the wood. It shouldn't be a big problem for you.

Also, I'm up in gilpin county...do you play with any local bands?

Doesn't look like a lap to me. I think it's just a nice old archtop with a big neck...sure is purty, though.

Wow...I came back to the post to review a suggestion and found that my question has sparked some serious steel discourse.

Anybody want to share their major 7th knowledge?

I'm not having much fun incorporating the voicings I've come up with into my playing.

Any input would help greatly.

Randy Crouch plays a little steel among other things...he's in Talequah, I think.
