I use 2mm rods as well on my Excel but noticed the hole needs to be bigger. I didn’t notice the set screw oddity so thanks for that tip! |

I bought these on Amazon for $7.49 for 20! The hole for the rod is 2mm so you may need to drill that out a tad for your pull rods.

I started with affixing the shelf to the front apron of the guitar. For my Excel, that was not a solid solution given the way it's made. Too much flex. For wood sided bodies, it could be better.

If your amp has an effects send output you are not using, you could attach a headphone amp to that and use in ear monitors. Perhaps something like this

If you can use an S12, there is a GFI Ultra S12 on the forum. That weighs 40lbs in its case.
