The tuning is accurate and the window clearly states "Dobro" I made sure the key signature was correct.

Now I'm beginning to think it's just the crummy tone of the actual midi generator. ...

The article claims the union shut it down somehow. I suppose it's possible but seems odd they would shut down studio B and not Studio A since RCA owned both at the time and I assume studio A kept run ...
