I just use the built in reverb on my TCA-500 and a Boss DD3T in the parallel effects circuit. Just set it for one slap-back and its all good.

Hi Don,
I have done the same with my 500. I used 3/8” ply for the head cab and it still weighed in at about 42 pounds (19kg).
Great amp though. Just too damn heavy!! Depending on your pickups, ...

My old ‘71 Sho~Bud Professional had the same pickups.
They were standard as far as I know. It was purchased new in ‘73 from the Sho~Bud shop in Nashville.
