I’ve been playing D130s most of my life. Now i use the PF 350, it’s better for me. Sounds great but heavy!

For going ampless I’ve been using a V8 into the Universal Audio OX Stomp. The OX Stomp does the speaker modeling and some other effects, but I still get all the tubey sweetness from the V8.

Sons of Herman Hall Dallas may be the worst I’ve ever done followed by the Adolphus Hotel, also in Dallas where you load through a working kitchen.
At least nobody uses those Yamaha electric grands ...

I’m using the UA Dream 65 and the UA OX stomp with great results. Joe has done the most research on the subject so if he likes the Tonex I’m sure you can’t go wrong.

It has some MSA parts, key head, fretboard, the pedals look like MSA but lack the crosshatching.
It could be good or not so good, but it’s not a true MSA.

I’ve been using a Walrus Audio M-1 pedal for rotary sounds with good results, plus you get lots of other modulation algorithms. It does the speed ramp thing well.

I have one and it works just fine, no problem getting clean sounds. I use it it for all my church gigs now and at home in my studio. Somehow it feels like you are playing through a real amp.

Your guitar was set up with standard nickel strings, the NYXL strings do not pull the same as standard strings so it needs to be readjusted for the NYXLs.
Our standard gauges are .013 .015 .0115 .0 ...
