During the years when I was gigging, I used a Music Man 212 H-D (One of the early all-tube ones made while Leo Fender co-owned the company.) This was a regular guitar amp. not designed for steel.

This guitar has a pickup, but no pre-amp (which is probably why it was discontinued and replaced with a model that has one.) It's not a very good electric guitar, but it's a GREAT acoustic.

The pedal I use for the Dobro sound is a Dunlop Q-zone pedal. I thought they had been discontinued, but I was wrong. They are still available.

My advise is to not wait. Sell the six shooter, maybe Jerry will take it back in trade,) and get a 10 string with 3 pedals and 4 knee levers now.
