I think there may be a certain amount of fatigue with the guitar center/corporate sales/les pauls for lawyers vibe that,. to me, infuses rock music, and a search for different approaches

Great stuff!! Monk is so frickin cool and I like the contrast between the smooth legato of lap steel and the usual reading of Monk tunes, which is to emulate his eccentric chunky chords. bravo!

Very nicely and expressively played. Makes the palm levers seem like tools and not gimmicks. It's not obviously in any one tradition which is irritating if you are committed to a specific style.

I love the Idea of that Peter's One bar--a stevens bar with bullnose and a thumb hole on the back, for reverse slants. That seems like the ideal bar to me. Does anyone else make one like that?
