The EVM12L speakers sound great. A Twin should work fine with the 8 ohm load of the one speaker. They can handle at least 200 watts so there shouldn't be any problem there.

For something off the shelf, you might try a Seymour Duncan Jazz hum bucker. If that isn't bright enough, you can try wiring the coils in parallel mode which will give you a brighter sound while stil ...

If no resistors have been changed in the power supply section, it should be as simple as switching the tubes and resetting the bias.

Turn the pot fully clockwise and measure the resistance between the two outside legs of the pot. One of them is the one with the end clipped off. That should give you a proper measurement. I just lo ...

The Behringer Dual Phase sounds very close to the original Mutron Bi-Phase, at least in the Youtube videos. Got one on the way for $159 from Sweetwater. Crazy low price.

I recommend the Audio Technica over the Sony because the Sonys tend to have overhyped bass response. Even the AT 30's sound great, at a very affordable price.

If you are set on changing the amp, this is what I would do:
Leave the output transformer alone. It should be able to run safely with a 4 ohm load.
Put the amp in a head cabinet.
Build or have bui ...

I agree with the Vintage 30. Works well for pedal and regular guitar. The only 12 I like better is the EVM 12L, but the weight can be a bit much, especially in a combo amp.

Another option has been to have one as a silicon diode and the other a germanium diode. The each clip at different voltages so it makes it non-symmetrical.

Fender actually used hide glue for glueing the tweed to amps. Per my tweed guitar case that came with my '62 Strat, they sprayed it with lacquer, but not too thick.
