I am also looking for a leg clamped iPad stand, but one that could be centered and not to the left or right side of the guitar (like the smaller Bradshaw one.)

What gauge string are you using for your 2nd string? An .015 should lower properly, perhaps the wrong gauge was inadvertently installed along the way?

Also, a unwound .022 for your G# should lower ...

Is there a way to mute the speaker output and just use the direct out for silent recording or practicing?

Never mind, I figured it out. Just keep the amp in standby and the direct out still works.
