Pretty sure I'm going to go for a Gold Tone at this point. It probably wont be until spring or so, but that's the direction I'll likely go.

I've been wanting to pick up a squareneck resonator for a while now, and I think it's time to start looking around, but I have no idea what I'm looking for.

I've been playing a lap steel in standar ...

I can't wait to hear that. Both guys are monster players.

I really like the stuff Roosevelt did with Andy Thorn on electric banjo, too. That'd make a pretty sweet album as well.

Trust me, one of Tim's amps is on my list, unfortunately, it's probably 3 or 4 years away at least. And honestly, I think I'd probably buy the Creamer first. I love the sound of that amp (and I'm mo ...

Let me clarify.

I already purchased (well, put on layaway) a Fender Super Sonic Twin. Unless I hate it on PSG, I'm not really looking for anything else at this point, I've got plenty of other GAS ...

I was visiting my parents a few weeks ago and made my rounds of the local music shops. One of them had a used Fender Super Sonic Twin in pretty much new condition with a road case for $1000.

I'v ...

I did like the feel of the EB pedal. I'm going to watch for a side jack one, as well.

I actually had one with side jacks about 6-7 years ago, but I didn't use it much and lent it to a friend. I ...

That's pretty cool that John Mayer has switched to Milkman amps.

For 6 string guitar, I don't like big amps. I had a 100 watt amp for a long time, and it was WAAAAY too loud for my needs. 15-30 w ...

You might also try a different adapter between the 1-Spot and the Holy Grail. It's possible that there's an issue with the adapter.

I'd venture to guess that fully tube PAs would be far too heavy to be practical. The PA that my band uses regularly is about 2000w. That's a lot of tubes!

Good to know.

Maybe a PV Steel amp will hold me over until I can afford one of Tim's amps. Then I wont be stuck with a Twin I'll never use after getting a Milkman.
