Rick, make sure the 4th string is a plain .020 or plain .022 . Years ago I had the same problem trying to make a .022 wound tune up that I had put on by mistake. Just an idea.

David, make sure your ground wire on your pickup is grounded to the changer. If it's not, you will get bad noises that will make you think the pickup is microphonic.

Jerry, on my stock LDG the decal is 5/8 of an inch from the end plate. If the end plate is removed, the decal is 3 inches from the end of the cabinet.

Jim, If you have a raise/helper spring on that string, remove it and try the lowering feature. The other guys has covered just about everything else. Good luck. Leon
