Aloha John, I rotate the Screw (Not the Lever) that I shaved one side of, it comes out kind of egg shaped and can be rotated to increase or reduce the throw. Guitar upside down on bench, shave one ...

My Ext E9 RKL lowers 8 to E-D#-D I used a smaller hex screw and shaved off one side . Also easily tunable with slight rotation..

Bob I use NYXLs that I get from Just Strings individually (Ext E9)

The ones I used for years were Cobras from Bobbe, lots of black spots on the plain strings and ball ends of wound..I could feel the spots with my bar when they were in the middle, then went to Live St ...

I’ve had several like that when I was using a couple of brands in the 80’s-90’s. Changed to D’Addario NYXL’s, they are always spot free. Last for months… Very Happy
