Hope you are well my friend.

I have used silicone caulk in the past. (Tub sealer works)
Just a dab is needed.

Let it dry and you should be all good.

I agree with Bob.
I had this happen and solved it by removing the nut and polishing the crud out of the grooves with a buffing wheel.

It appears go me that the pick up in question has a black casing around it.
