It is a biscuit resonator. Thanks for the National pics and info. It does the Blues really well. Love the sound.

I'm thinking this amp is worth a try. I listened to the video and it sounds good. I have not tried it personally but the amp gets good reviews.

I only had to replace the tuners on mine. The electronics are fine for now at least. I may change the pickup at some point.

I see how that works for Blues jamming. It's Open D with the low A raised up to a C. Skip that string and everything is the same as playing Open D. Cool!

I like high G tuning like this:GGDGBD

The low B string always seems to get in the way for me. It could be that I'm new to the instrument.

Works great for power chords for Blues/Rock music.
