what about going from gbdgbd bluegrass dobro tuning to dadF#ad d tuning? would it work well?

i bought a lap steel with benders some time ago. when i look into it i find i need a spring for the bender. any had any luck with hardware stores etc. to fit it?

peter funk, that daddy slide you have is the ticket. i contacted them about making one like that for me. they didn't seem to be in any hurry to ever make another.
