Yeppers, leaning twords having the orig. p-up rewound and mounting it in front of the George... Could make an interesting balance.

I've been thinking about moving it further up the body and/or getting the old Sho-Bud one rewound and going for a combo set up. Gonna try a few different amps before i get too carried away with it.

Can't seem to get enough low end on my tone. I've played around with about every height adj. 0-3/8" on either end. No problem with power, just way too hot on the high end.

If it's too short you could cut it back a little more and use a rod coupler [also at hardware store]I think it's 1/4 20 or 1/4 28 threads on them.

The one I got has removable tabs on the ends and the sides. Looks like it's really well built. I like that it has shielded wiring.Can't wait to hear it and get the old 1 sent off.

I do have access to a Bridgeport mill, I think I'm gonna put the George in and have the old 1 rewound. I only paid 450.00 for the Mav.I only need to widen aprox. 3/16" should be able to line the ...

Yes I re-soldered the jack first, then the connections at the coil end. Removed the bridge,and ran a new ground.

Getting a lot of extra hum and static. I retouched all of the solder joints on both ends, and ran a new ground. Didn't cure the problem. I picked up a George L e66 But I'm Not sure how it would affect ...
