I'm going through a Pro-1 and have several questions on the changer that I was hoping somebody could answer.

The first two pics shows that one of the cast levers has been cut and filed. ...

If it's the guitar I think it is, the pics don't do it justice. The ones I've seen have a translucent black such that the wood grain shows. Very cool looking guitar

Buy a lap steel and begin with that. If you stick with it through learning slants, and still want the pedal sound, get a pedal steel.
