I recently purchased an 8 string Rickenbacker and the first string has significantly lower volume than the other 7. Any ideas. I have it tuned to a A6 with the high e a .015.

I heard some crackling noise thru the amp and the light went out on my DD3. The power supply is fine and I put a new battery in and nothing. Anyone have an idea?
