I think the truth is a lot of us hear with our eyes...but the main difference I hear between a p/p and others is the extra growly mojo kinda thing the push pull gives.

Also, if you go to travelocity or expedia, you can see what flights they have then buy the ticket directly from the airline's web site...sometimes you avoid user fees that way.
