Does anyone out there make an 8 string keyless tuner head?
I want to build a lap steel.

Those tuners are just what I've been thinking of. Can you give me more details, like how the strings attach and how much you would want for an 8 string setup? tia, Jim

Check out the local pawn shops. That's where I bought mine.

Here is a version that's close to the original. I can't remember who originally did it. The steel player, Hal Clampett, in the band I was in in the 80's played it with a folded piece of cardboard.

I've been working on a design for just that kind of steel. Thanks for the amp suggestions.
