I have a Hawaiian songbook from 1936 for 6 string and the tuning it uses is, low to high E,A,E,A,C#,E

Here is a version that's close to the original. I can't remember who originally did it. The steel player, Hal Clampett, in the band I was in in the 80's played it with a folded piece of cardboard.
