Those Xotic units are heavy enough that I wouldn't trust them to a straight jack. I'd go hot glue first.

Re examining your tab, I've edited my response. I'd start with T and go T, M, T, M...T, M, T, M. Alternate between M&T. If the T strikes a string, the M is next....and so on.

I agree with Cranky Dave. You say you currently drop the Bs but never use it. If you don't use it, that means you just have never developed a vocabulary using it.

I use a drum throne with adjustable height. You can get ones that have a back rest, for about $100. Not as much as a steel seat. But you can stuff it full of things!

I'm 3/4ths of the way there, but my Carter came stock that way (except they're on RKL). I'm also thinking of adding the 1/2 step raise on 2.
