What do the plus and minus numbers refer to? Does it mean to tune sharp or flat of 440 by that amount?

Try going to an auto upholstery shop. That's where I went when I rebuilt my pack a seat I also got some royal blue crushed velvet that I recovered it with. You could also try a fabric store.

Unfortunately no. All the rods have to come out of (or backed out of) the changer in order to remove it.

If you can get a longer allen head stop you can thread a nut onto the end of it to keep it from moving. That's what I did on my Dekley.
