I was told Buddy returned his Zum back to Bruce before he died. I know for sure Buddy returned the GFI 12 string back.

take out the flat head screws in the back rail and center rail. Some may be hard to get because of cross shafts. Other then that, it will lift out.

Years ago I put locking Sperzel tuners on an Excel pedal steel. Every time I pushed the pedals the third string broke. Put the original tuners back on.

You can still order a 22.5" scale GFI. I have one and the sustain is the same has my 24". That model was designed for Mike Sigler who wanted it for overhead plane storage.

GFI doesn't offer those colors anymore. One blue frame black mica D-10 keyed still on the shelf at GFI. Also one red frame black mica Keyless S-12. If interested call Bob.
