I haven't been into midi files for quite sometime because frankly I didn't care for the sound.

Midi files have no 'sound', they are merely a set of instructions as to how a sound generation engine ...

It's also a low impedance device. Unless you are using some sort of FX device before the volume controller, I wouldn't have thought it would work too well with psg ...

Does it have the E9th setting?

No - and I would be surprised if they ever introduced it, as it would seiously affect the sales of the more expensive units that do have this tuning.
