I just listened to Kaitlin Butt's new album "What Else Can She Do" and Justin Schipper's steel playing is amazing, especially on the title track. Great songs and production as well. Never ...

I'd reach out to forum member Larry Chung for more info. He's an expert on the repair and restoration of pre-war Gibson amps.

I heard a Moog guitar recently and have been trying to figure out how to simulate that on PS. I suppose an Ebow would get me in the ballpark but those only sustain one string at once and don't allow ...

I read or was told decades ago (don't know where) that if you lay your amp flat for transport, you should have the speaker facing up. Facing it down may cause the cone to travel too far from a severe ...

As others have said, dampers should be unnecessary. None of the classic Fenders and Marshalls had them. I guess I can see some of the crappier modern tubes being microphonic but the best way to deal ...

I stand corrected. It's likely that there was an evolution with the woody amps. Leo probably realized pretty quickly that it was more efficient to build amps using an eyelet board.

Here's one fro ...

I gave George L's the college try but gave up. Unreliable as hell. The sound quality is great but that means nothing with a dead connection.

To be fair, this may be an issue with all solderless c ...
