with those amps with all the FXs on them do they ever sound to processed? some times i wonder "is it me or the pedal?" Confused

i have had very deep thoughts of a double course 8 & also a 10 string Mr. Green . i haven't been able to come up with a good tuning for a 13, any thoughts?

without question a D-10 & all kinds of amps (since i don't have 1 except a little practice amp) but i'm good from there.
